Queens University of Charlotte competes for Shorty Award

Queens University of Charlotte is up for a Shorty Award, which recognizes the best producers of short content on social media. Supporters vote for their favorite brands or people in different categories by how else, tweeting it!

Reena Arora, the head of digital media for the university, said since starting the social media accounts, alumni have become more engaged in the happenings at the university.

"[They] rediscover Queens, fall in love with it again, who see what we're doing on a daily basis," she said. "So it's just reinforced our sense of community, which is the nature of social media."
