RALEIGH – The state Medical Examiner's Office is working to determine the identity of a man whose body was found Tuesday night in Spring Lake.

Authorities say the body of an older man was found in a wooded area near the intersection of North First and Johnston streets around 7 p.m.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is treating the case as a death investigation.
