SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Apple unveiled the new iPad Mini in San Jose, Calif. Tuesday. The screen is about a third smaller than the current iPad and the tablet fits in one hand.
It has a higher-definition camera on the front of the tablet and a 5 megapixel camera on its back. Prices start at $329. Preorders begin Friday and will be in stores Nov. 2.
Apple also released a new full-sized version of the iPad, an update to the third-generation device that went on sale in March, along with a new iMac and MacBook Pro.
