DURHAM – Citing property values and health concerns, a group residents will go before Durham's Board of Adjustments to appeal it's approval of a proposed cell phone tower.
The proposed 125-foot tower would sit off Highway 751 on land owned by Saint Barbara Greek Orthodox Church. Opponents say the tower will make property values fall and create a health risk if struck by lightning because of a nearby gas line.
Supporters say they trust government leaders will do what's right for those living in the area.
The meeting will take place Tuesday morning at Durham City Hall.
