DURHAM--Duke fans said they were ready to take on the Tar Heels on Saturday.

"It's going to be a great. It's going to be a grudge match. It's going to be dirty. Duke's going to win," said Duke fan Mike Lambeth.

The Blue Devils and Tar Heels face each other Saturday at Wallace Wade Stadium.

Even though the football game isn't as intense a rivalry as it is in basketball, Saturday's game could change that.

"Anytime it's Duke-UNC the atmosphere is going to be there. The rivalry is going to be there and it's going to be intense," said UNC fan Taylor Vippolis.

On Friday, while Duke fans lined up for “Countdown to Craziness,” there was a lot of talk about the football team.

"Anything against UNC is always a big deal. Got to pull out a win here," said Duke fan Juliana Conklin.

In addition to bragging rights, there's something else is at stake. If Duke wins, they will become bowl eligible for the first time in almost 20 years.

With stakes like that, both sides aren't taking the game lightly.

"You got to show up and play. Anyone can beat anyone on any given day. You got to show up and play and we're going to have to bring it," said UNC fan Houston Summers.

Both teams come into the game with identical 5-2 records and the last time Duke beat UNC was in 2003.
