CHATHAM COUNTY, N.C. — Chatham County authorities confirmed a body found in a creek last week is a missing woman from Siler City.

Daphne Forster, 38, was found along Chicken Bridge Road last Wednesday. She was reported missing a day earlier. Investigators are still looking for the car she was driving when she disappeared.

The car is a blue, 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier with NC license plate number WVY-6036. Investigators say they are treating her death as a homicide.
