RALEIGH--Wake County high school students took over the News 14 Carolina studios in Raleigh on Saturday.

It was part of Time Warner Cable's Connect A Million Minds initiative, to encourage students to study science, engineering, technology and math.

Digital media and film students from Millbrook IB Magnet High School recorded their own newscast.

Under the direction of our expert crew, the students anchored, reported, directed, produced and even did a weather forecast.

The students said it gave them a real feel for news production.

Time Warner Cable is the parent company of News 14 Carolina.
