GREENSBORO -- The latest polls show presidential hopeful Mitt Romney is building steam from last week's debate. The election is 26 days away and experts say the momentum could easily change. Undecided voters could be swayed by this week's vice presidential debate and the final two presidential debates.

They also say campaigning will heat up in North Carolina.

"There's a recognition that if Mitt Romney cannot win North Carolina, he cannot win the presidential election and so both campaigns will not let this state go," said Dr. Jason Husser, a professor from Elon University.

Friday is the deadline to register to vote. However, you can still register in person during early voting from Oct. 18 through Nov. 3. You must have a current ID or government document that has your name and address.
