RALEIGH -- A bicyclist was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after colliding with a truck early Monday morning on I-40.

Police haven't released many details about the cyclist, but they say the wreck happened around 3:30 a.m. between US-1 and Avent Ferry Road. The wreck tied up traffic on I-40 for about three hours.

There's no word on any other injuries.
