WILSON, N.C. – Wilson police say a man shot and killed himself after firing at them early Wednesday morning.

Police say 29-year-old Julius Lucas, a suspect in a domestic disturbance call, fired at them when they spotted his car on London Church Road. He then took off on foot and shot himself behind a warehouse.

No one else was injured.

The SBI is investigating the shooting, which is standard procedure.
