WILMINGTON--During his high school days, Jay Ross, a Defensive Tackle for the Buffalo Bills, spent a lot of time in Brogden Hall when he was played basketball for New Hanover High School. On Friday, he returned to his old stomping grounds for his second annual charity basketball game.

"It's just a great feeling, I wouldn't have it any other way having events like this," said Ross. "It just feels like it's a big deal around here."

Ross and his Port City All Stars squad, which featured Vonta Leach of the Baltimore Ravens, C.J. Wilson of the Green Bay Packers and Connor Barth, a Hoggard High School graduate who plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The All Stars squad faced the Wilmington Police Department.

"Jay asked me to come out and it's for a great because this allow me to give back to the community that give so much to me and Jay," remarked Barth.

Ross's second annual charity basketball game raised more than $3,000 for the Wilmington Police Department Recreation Association. Saturday morning, the New Hanover High School graduate will held a free youth football camp at the Martin Luther King Center in Wilmington.
