Investigators have released the names of three people killed in a fiery crash in Creedmoor early Sunday morning.

The Highway Patrol said the driver of the car, Martin Kokus, 21 of Rougemont was speeding down Old Weaver Trail near the Wake-Granville county line around 2 a.m.

Troopers said that's when he lost control around a curve and hit a tree. The car burst into flames, killing Kokus, and his two passengers, Marissa Blanks, 19, and Tyler Duncan, 20, both of Roxboro.

Investigators haven't determined if alcohol was involved, but they said the driver was going around 65 mph in a 45 mph zone.
