GREENSBORO -- More than 1,000 talented music students from across the country are in the Tar Heel State for the next two weeks, for a summer camp that's earned national recognition.

UNC Greensboro has hosted the event for the last 30 years. Students receive specialized training from 150 music professionals, which can be hard to get anywhere else.

"We are the most popular music camp on a college or university campus in America. This year we have 1,757 students attending camp," said camp founder John Locke.

Future music camps are already planned through 2022.
