GREENSBORO — Community conversations continue over a proposed performing arts center in downtown Greensboro.
The city's task force held another public forum Saturday at Holy Trinity Church. The meeting came on the heels of leaders' visits to the Durham Performing Arts Center and a similar venue in Dayton, Ohio.
Task force leaders said there is a consensus that the center needs to be community-oriented and cater to a wide range of audiences.
"We really want to make sure that this facility is something that all the arts groups can participate in, from symphony to opera, Broadway, local performing groups," said GPAC project manager Ross Harris.
On May 24, the task force will hold a forum to talk about the potential economic impact. The final report to City Council is due June 19.
