RALEIGH -- A Raleigh food shelter has a newly renovated house and kitchen just in time for the holidays. The Home Builders Association Remodelers Counicl paid for new sinks, cabinets, floors and electrical wiring in the New Bern House.
The house serves hundreds of people daily and even more during the holidays. Officials hope they'll now be able to serve even more.
"We were not really concerned about making this a beautiful kitchen. We were concerned about making this a functional kitchen," said the President and CEO of H. Glazer Builder Inc., Harold Glazer.
The New Bern House is part of the Helping Hand Mission.
