Shopping for, planning for, and then cooking a Thanksgiving meal has never been easier thanks to loads and loads of mobile apps that help you with everything from your shopping list to giving you baby step by baby step cooking instructions if you'd like.

There are loads for every device if you do a simple search. Love Food Hate Waste is different in that it helps you prepare meals AFTER Thanksgiving's all wrapped up and you have a week's worth of leftover's staring you down every time you open the refrigerator. The app helps you plan meals and size out proper portions but the neat part is the blender. You go through the different types of food you have left, throw them into the virtual blender...when you've included everything you have hit the blend button and the app spits out a whole bunch of yummy recipes based on what you have. Love Food Hate Waste is a free app for both Androids and iPhones.

Or if before the meal you plan on watching the big Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, there's now an official app to help you do just that. Powered by MyCityWay, it's geared towards those actually going to the parade to see it in person but certainly offers up some helpful info for those watching at home too.

For those at the parade, the app will offer all sorts of information on the parade route including where how to track where different parts of the parade are thereby allowing watchers to predict what's about to walk by them next. There are also nearby bathrooms and restaurants in there, as well as relevant transit information.

Features that anyone can appreciate include information, pictures, and videos of some floats and participants as well as the ability to follow and share messages with Santa, some marching bands, and cheerleaders. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade app is free for iOS and Android devices.
