RALEIGH – N.C. State University students hit Hillsborough Street Sunday night after their rave party was shut down. Officials say a mass Facebook message helped to plan the event.
But the organizers never got a permit, so when the DJs showed up for the rave, campus police had to stop the celebration.
About 3,000 students were left without a place to party, so they marched toward the Capitol and walked around, before returning to the campus bell tower.
N.C. State and Raleigh police monitored the march. There were no arrests or incidents.
