CHARLOTTE – Dr. Heath Morrison was sworn in Monday as the new superintendent of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school system.
He began work on July 1, touring schools and speaking with teachers and students. Next week, Morrison will present a final budget proposal to the school board.
Morrison said he plans to visit each of the district's 159 schools during his first 100 days on the job.
