RALEIGH – Monday is the first day of the online magnet school selection period for Wake County parents. The selection period is part of the school system’s new school choice student assignment process.

Parents may make choices at any time through Dec. 19 by logging onto the student assignment website.

They'll then be notified between Dec. 20 and Jan. 13 about whether their children received their schools of choice.

The first proximity school choice selection period runs from Jan. 17 through Feb. 24.
