CHARLOTTE -- Graduation rates are up in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. The Board of Education will receive a report Tuesday night that shows a 74 percent graduation rate last year. That's four points below the state average of 79 percent.
All high schools except Garinger, Harding, Olympic and South Meck saw increases, as did all ethnic and racial groups. However, there's still a 20 point difference between whites and blacks.
