CMS board's attempt to delay teacher pay plan fails

CHARLOTTE – Another attempt to stall Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools plan to link teacher pay to student performance has failed.

This time, some board members tried to delay further action on a state proposal that would make it easier to implement the plan.

House Bill 546 only applies to CMS and eliminates the requirement for teachers' approval.
