WASHINGTON--With thousands of troops coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan, veterans and their families are becoming an important voting bloc in the upcoming presidential election. The White House has been trying to highlight President Obama’s wartime accomplishments while also showing how new veterans are being helped. Meanwhile, the president’s opponents say he’s using the military for political gain.
