APEX, N.C. -- Some of the best fisherman in the state find a special way to thank military members for their service. Friday, anglers are teaming up with service men and women for the annual Warriors on the Water bass fishing tournament.

Everyone wants to bring in the biggest catch, but Friday is not your typical tournament. It's a way for fishermen to thank the military heroes for putting their lives on the line to serve our country.

Teams say they look forward to relaxing and spending the beautiful day on the water.

This tournament a true community effort. Businesses from across the region provide trophies for the winners and food for everyone.
