LUMBERTON -- A fundraiser for the family of fallen Lumberton Police Officer Jeremiah Goodson is scheduled for this weekend. Goodson was shot four times while serving a warrant on a suspect outside a gas station on Fayetteville Road on July 17.

Proceeds will help his wife, Lametria Goodson, who recently gave birth to the couple's second child.

The event will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Wine and Design studio on Donaldson Street in Fayetteville. The event is sponsored by the NC Chapter of Wives Behind the Badge.
