CHARLOTTE -- Time Warner Cable donated televisions to the Hospitality House of Charlotte. Employees spent part of Thursday afternoon installing and connecting all 22 guest rooms. Previously, the Hospitality House only had TV's in the common areas.

For those who stay at the house having complimentary cable TV in their rooms helps them cope as loved ones endure an extended stay in the hospital.

"The guests will come back tonight and go to their room, lay on their bed, relax--like we do normally at home--and then be more refreshed," said Kimberly Melton, the executive director of the Hospitality House of Charlotte. "So when they're able to go over the hospital the next day, they can really take care of their loved one."

In addition to the TV donation, employees are also planning a toiletry drive in March.

Time Warner Cable is the parent company of News 14 Carolina.
