CHARLOTTE -- Running marathons, running marathons in every state, and running more than 100 total marathons isn't quite enough for Bob Weeks. He now plans to run across the state to help wounded veterans.
Weeks is training for the run of his life. In May, he plans to run across North Carolina in an effort to raise money for Wounded Warriors.
He plans to start the trek in Asheville and finish in Wilmington. The run will be more than 400 miles.
“Yep, it is crazy,” said Weeks. “The number one reason I'm doing it is because I have a lot of friends in the military I met with at Cross Fit and have gotten injured.”
Weeks says a handful of Wounded Warriors will participate in part of the run.
He hopes to raise $250,000. He says he's already raised more than $13,000.
If you would like to help Weeks and the Wounded Warriors you can make a donation on his website.
