JACKSONVILLE, N.C. – An Onslow County family that lost three children in a deadly house fire will soon move into a new home.

Earlier this year, Tabitha, Elijah and Gabriel Pittman were killed on Highway 17 South, just outside Jacksonville, when an electrical fire sparked in the kitchen of their home. Their ages ranged from 6 to 12.

Six other family members were hospitalized.

In March, good Samaritans began building a new home for the family. Workers have since put on the final touches and a final building inspection is scheduled for Friday.

The family is still accepting donations. If you're interested in helping out, visit the Pittman Family Housing Project Facebook page.
