MINT HILL, N.C.--Midland and Charlotte fire departments were called in to help Mint Hill firefighters battle a house fire on Dogwood Drive around 9:00 p.m. Saturday night.

Firefighters say they had trouble getting water to the house.

"We were assigned a system of water supply and man power. The water supply was a short distance away. Obviously the house is pretty burned up," said Captain John Frame of Midland Fire Department.

Only one person lived in the house, and the American Red Cross is helping the resident out.
