Rich history linked to America's independence overlooked in Charlotte

Charlotte is mostly known as a banking city, but little is known for it's rich history.

The city has had many citizens who were prominent figures during the American Revolution, which was a battle was fought at the corner of Trade and Tryon streets. A document was also authored in the Queen City that has sparked a heated debate.
