Durham woman sought in connection with fatal shooting

DURHAM – Durham police are looking for a woman accused in a deadly shooting.

They charged 23-year-old Jamelia Thomas with killing 54-year-old Jerry Morgan. The shooting happened Sept. 1 on Cherry Road.

Police say Thomas walked up to Morgan as he worked on his car. They exchanged words then Thomas fired shots. Police say the two knew each other.

She then left in a burgundy Oldsmobile Bravada.
