CHARLOTTE -- Charlotte Area Transportation leaders are releasing more information about their plans during the Democratic National Convention. Earlier this month, they announced they would relocate the Charlotte Transit Center to Third and South Mint Street from Sept. 3 through Sept. 5 for security reasons.
Also that week, there will be limited Gold Rush service. Light rail operations will run from I-485 in Pineville to Stonewall Street. A shuttle bus will run from the Carson station to the Transit Center for customers needing rail-bus connections.
CATS advises that many buses will be running on detoured routes during the convention due to street closures.
