CHARLOTTE -- The mayor of Los Angeles will chair the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte this summer. The party chose Antonio Villaraigosa to oversee the convention. A formal announcement is expected Wednesday.
The mayor will help Democrats try to woo Latino support for President Obama and congressional candidates.
