RALEIGH -- The Raleigh Fall Festival raised more than $12,000 for the Inter-faith Food Shuttle Sunday. The race was formerly called the Old Reliable Run. It included a 5k and 10k race.

Organizers say they're pleased with the partnership and the ability to provide for people during the past 22 years.

"Well I think, especially now in this economy, we are seeing so many families affected with hunger and it's not just families who have lived in the cycle of poverty, but is now families that are struggling to make their mortgage, not just rent," said Melissa Harzell, the director of communications.

This year, the Inter-faith Food Shuttle helped feed tornado and hurricane victims and continues to help those in need.
